On April 6 were announced topics of International Debate Tournament!

On April 6 in Ivano-Frankivsk
held a introducing meeting at which students met each other, received information about the project and its expected results, reviewed the video recording of the debate, get technical recommendations and printed guides for Debate Tournament preparation scheduled by the organizers for 5-6 May of this year.
Exactly at this meeting were announced topics of Debate Tournament:
Topic 1. Are biofuels a better alternative to fossil fuels? Should their use be encouraged by government regulations?
Topic 2. Do market approaches have greater potential to reduce carbon emission than regulatory approaches?
Topic 3. Should water be treated as a commodity that can be priced as an economic resource and traded across international boundaries? Or is it a unique common good that should be the subject of international cooperation?
Topic 4. Should Europe rely more heavily on nuclear energy.
Topic 5. The government should only encourage financial innovation to preserve non-renewable forms of energy and resources
Topic 6. Economy is the way to reduce harm
The best student speeches will be included into thematic brochure on the project results. Students have the chance to become co-authors of the publication to be distributed not only in Ukraine but also in Romania and other EU countries.
