Questionnaire for participation in the debate tournament For students of Ivano-Frankivsk region / Maramures county

This questionnaire is being conducted with the purpose of selecting a group of students to partake in a debate tournament on energy saving issues within the Project ‘Saving energy – saving future”. This project was started on December 10th 2010 and is being implemented in Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine and Maramures county of Romania by Agency for Private Initiative Development and the Association Ecologic, the project is financed by the European Union within the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013.

 

The project is the response to the challenges relating to preservation of nature resources and application of renewable energy in the EU and its neighbor countries.

The overall objective of the action is to support the development and implementation of energy effective technologies and cross-border cooperation in this sphere among youth and businesses and build strong partnerships for future cooperation between neighboring countries in this direction.

The debates is the modern technology of structural discussion and  will provide an opportunity for young people to practice and demonstrate their knowledge, ideas, oratory skills and political aptitude  amongst their colleagues and the international students community. In addition – it is an excellent chance to discover new friends and future partners for cross border cooperation. Finally it is very nice way to have fun!!!!

The project envisages two national competitions to be held in Romania and Ukraine respectively and one international competition.

Students interested in participation in the international students debate tournament should fill out the questionnaire below and write a short essay. Requirements are provided below.

The procedure for selecting students to participate in the tournament will follow a formal procedure. The selection of students will be conducted on the results of the essays evaluation which have to include the ideas of energy saving and effective resources use. The essay is the part of the questionnaire. The international expert commission will evaluate the essays under the following criteria:

Relevance to the topic - 2 points

Supported with arguments - 3 points                                                                                                                        

Logically presented - 3 points                                                                                                                                                              

Originality of Presentation - 2 points                                                                                                                          


To participate in the tournament will be selected 20 students who obtained the greatest number of points.
